While our friends and families in the North begin to rake autumn leaves and pull out winter attire as temperatures dip, we here in South Florida continue to experience unusually hot summer-like days. Many of us who look forward to the change in climate, eagerly await that first real cold front to bring us some cooling relief from the blistering heat we have been suffering through since April.
Speaking of heat, November rolls in bringing the sizzling Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival at Markham Park; Thanksgiving weekend will mean more feasting with families and friends; and oh yes, shopping. Despite a sluggish economy, how can we resist those after-Thanksgiving sales. Bargains Galore! One friendly reminder, don't over indulge in either activity; feasting or shopping.
This latest issue of De Riddim Box is filled with information on upcoming events and flashbacks of happenings you may have missed. Forward to friends and family members so that they are informed about activities in South Florida's Caribbean Community.
Remember to tune in to Caribbean Riddims, every Saturday, on WZAB 880 AM for updated information, special give-aways and lots of music. You can also visit our website at www.caribbeanriddims.com.
