Lauderhill, FL – September 12, 2025 – Shak’s Hope Sickle Cell Foundation proudly announces its 5th annual “Islands of Hope Education & Awareness Brunch”, taking place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center.

This year’s theme, “Caribbean Colors & Flavors,” promises a dynamic and uplifting celebration of culture and community while raising vital awareness and support for individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease.

Hosted by the charismatic Raul Blaze, the event will feature an exciting program including:

  • Inspiring speakers- sharing education and stories of resilience
  • Signature Caribbean fashion show highlighting cultural style
  • Silent auction to benefit sickle cell warriors and families
  • Caribbean-inspired brunch cuisine with authentic flavors
