Lauderhill, FL – The Louise Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council (LBCHC), in partnership with the City of Lauderhill, proudly announces Stylin’ 2025 – Fi Wi Roots. Fi Wi Culture., a dynamic celebration of Jamaica’s cultural heritage, honoring the 106th birthday of Jamaica’s legendary cultural icon, Louise “Miss Lou” Bennett-Coverley. The highly anticipated event takes place on September 20-21, 2025, at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, bringing together fashion, music, comedy, and more in a grand cultural showcase.

“It’s a tribute to Miss Lou’s enduring contribution to promoting the cultural wealth of the nation. This celebration in the artistic expressions of fashion, music and comedy is testimony to her legacy,” affirms Dona-Lee Raymond, president of the Louise Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council.

At the heart of the celebration is the stunning showcase of Jamaican-inspired fashion by award-winning designer, Hope Wade of Hope Wade Designs (NYC). Wade, known for her elegant, culturally rooted creations, will headline alongside South Florida’s design duo, Maisie & Kimberley McNaught of Kulture Klothes and rising talent, Camila Nina-Simone Davis of Bad Gyal Brukins. Together, they will present collections that weave Jamaica’s vibrant heritage into contemporary, unforgettable designs.

This vibrant production also features scintillating live music from Eugene Grey and his band, with popular vocalist Yeshka leading the journey through Jamaica’s musical landscape. Comedy segments from Sophia Nicholson and Ricky Rowe promise laughter and commentary on today’s issues, while performances by South Florida’s own Tallawah Mento Band and the Jamaican Folk Revue, fresh from their performances at Panafest in Ghana, will captivate audiences with timeless folk renditions.

Young talents from the Ring Ding Kids will delight audiences as they embody Miss Lou’s passion for Jamaican culture and language. Attendees can also browse designer booths for exclusive pieces and enjoy special offers during the event.

Media personalities Suzette Speaks, Jody-Ann Gray, and the dynamic Sir Rockwell will guide the evening as hosts, ensuring a memorable experience for all.
